#BookadayUK - Day 1 (August): Most arresting opening line

“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.”

 

I simply had to. It's the only opening line that I remember on a regular basis. And one of my favorite books of all time.
