Injustice: gods among us Vol 1

Thank you Ronyell (aka Rabbitearsblog) for recommending this!
Despite growing up with the Adam West Batman, I never really got into DC Comics. Thanks to my brother, I'm more informed on the convoluted mess of the Marvel Universe, though I knew enough to recognize most of the characters in this book.
The comic blew me away. From the very first, I couldn't put it down and talked poor LL's ear off on the various twists and turns. I found so much of this made sense. The Joker was his typically horrible self who just can't help wanting to see the world burn. I fear he'll get his wish. I loved Batman in this and found his reaction exactly in line with his character. Superman...is scary and this raises issues I've always had with him. He is a god among men and I prefer the flawed humanity of Batman and others. Wonder Woman...in the end bothered me more than Superman. Yet I found it quite possible, I've always had issues with her "peaceful" warrior as there always seemed to be more a focus on warrior - when I see/read her that is.
The plot and pace of everything ramping up was amazing and had you on the edge of your seat. I've never played the game and don't have any real plans to, but you don't need to in order to enjoy and feel for these well-known characters pushed into choosing sides in a conflict made even more terrible by the "Supers" battling among themselves.
