Toriko Volumes 9 and 10 (3 and 2.5 stars, respectively)

Toriko, Vol. 9 - Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro, Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro Toriko, Vol. 10 - Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro, Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro

Bugs. That's the way to kill my love for this series - have a baddie regurgitating big, ugly parasitic bugs to attack Toriko and friends!

Disregarding creeper mentioned above, I liked much of these two volumes. Toriko and Komatsu meet some friends I really hope show up again at some point, we learn yet more about the Gourmet World, they're getting close to Century Soup, and Komatsu basically adopts a baby wall penguin. I'd love to have a plushy toy of that!

There is some great fighting in her but rather gorier then usual and I didn't entirely enjoy some of the "best" battle scenes.

I did like meeting Teppei though and learning there were "Revivers" - they protect the rare foods - as well as Hunters.

Only one volume left at the library so far; I'll have to see if they're going to purchase any more of them.
